The American Legion's 99th Lake Forest Day celebration is a "Salute to Our Schools and Their History". The traditional Lake Forest Day Parade in downtown begins at 10 a.m.

Concert in the Square

Bill O'Connell's Chicago Skyliners Big Band -- Always a big hit at the concerts for the past several years. Once again take a trip back to those radio show days, reminiscing and listening to the sounds of Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and many more. Make sure you wear your dancing shoes and prepare to enjoy the sounds of great music!

Mellody Farm Nature Preserve
Volunteer workdays are a terrific way to learn about the natural areas of Lake Forest while helping out with some much-needed restoration. Please wear tough clothing and appropriate footwear. The New Invaders "Ultimate '60's Flashback" Show -- A great new addition to the concert series. Their "Ultimate '60's Flashback" performance features go-go girls, as well as special guest Melody Mallin covering tunes from such greats as Dusty Springfield, Leslie Gore and more. This group will take you on a musical journey back to The British Invasion, Shindig/Halluballo, Woodstock era, and so much more. And to make this the biggest concert season closing ever ... sign up for our 60's dance contest -- yes start working on your routines now. And, just like we did for opening night, we are asking you to bring out those mini skirts, go-go boots, tie dyed t-shirts and more for our best dressed 60's couple. You just can't miss this concert season ender -- it will definitely bring the house down!

US Navy Band
Time:
3:30pm

The US Navy Band from Great Lakes Naval Base will give a free concert in Market Square in Lake Forest. The band is under the direction of Lieutenant Joseph Dolsak. He continues a tradition started by John Phillip Sousa, who formed the band in 1911 at Great Lakes when the first bugler reported to him.
The Lake Forest American Legion is coordinating this event.
